GI Wire introduction:
Electro galvanized wire is supplied in forms of coil wire, spool wire, cut wire or U type wire.
Common gauge range: BWG6 - 22 - 34.
The zinc coating applied: mostly 10 to 25g/m2. Commonly 8-12g/m2 zinc coating for 0.8mm iron wire, 15-25g/m2 for 1.2mm to 1.6mm iron wire.
Wire shapes: Round, flat, oval, crimped.
Tensile strength of electro galvanized steel wire: Mostly 40-85kg/mm2. 300-500mpa for low carbon steel wire, 900-1870mpa for high carbon steel wire.
Materials: Carbon steel wire, mild steel wire, iron wire
Finishes: Electro galvanizing, annealed galv., electro galv. then pvc coating.
Iron wire galvanized then plastic coated offers better corrosion resistance, longer service life and color options.
